TomTom HOME für Mac

Every year I dread trying to install an update for Tom Tom Home on my Mac. I can guarantee it will fail every time, year after year! An utterly dreadful piece of clunky software that will waste hours of your life trying to get it to work correctly.

TomTom should be embarrassed about releasing this software. It crashes often and barely gets the job done, and that's only after a lot of patience and persistence. It took me 8 hours to update my unit, including reinstalling the software 3 times. Online support is nonexistent. This was my second TomTom. The first was great, but they've fallen fast and far. This supposed support program is emblematic of their problems. I won't be buying anything from TomTom again.

When I plug my TomTom One into my Mac, the software crashes.

Tomtom can do better than this. Everytime I stick the card in it first says it is write protected when it isn't. After a couple of tries, it recognizes it. At least for the NB1, it's badly written, buggy and definitely not Mac like. You can't even add POIs from it. You have to manually copy them to the SD card. Asking for help seems to get you into a never ending cycle of nothingness.

This version works very well with my XLS IQ RoutesStable and does what it is supposed to do. Have not had problems for many years, just works. iMac 27" 2011 MacBook Pro 13" 2011 Maybe those having problems have other problems with their Macs causing the trouble?
